Lombard Residence

Pilot Place Society’s Lombard Residence is located at 70 Lombard Street in downtown Toronto and consists of the entire 1st & 2nd floors within a 10-storey apartment building. The residence includes 20 single units, each with a 4-piece washroom, plus common areas, such as living room, dining room, patio, and balcony – all fully furnished.

The Lombard Residence began operations in 1994, after a decade of hard-work, dedication, and financial investment by family members of adults with serious mental illness, who formed Pilot Place Society in response to a severe lack of supportive housing programs for mental health.

The Lombard program was launched with support from the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Housing, the Labour Council, and Muriel Collins Housing Co-operative – which serves as the Lombard Residence landlord, receiving a Rent-Geared-to-Income (RGI) subsidy. Lombard operates with funding from the Toronto Central LHIN (Local Health Integration Network), as well as generous contributions from private donors.
